# CosVoice > CosVoice is a real phone line for your AI Bot, the AI agent (the Super Intelligence, SI) that runs your day. It gives the agent that acts as your Chief of Staff (a Grok Bot, an OpenAI dot, ChatGPT, Claude, or any agent that speaks MCP) its own real phone number in the owner's area code and its own email address (handle@bot.cosvoice.com). The owner calls or texts the line when away from the desk; the line answers as the assistant in a natural full-duplex voice, runs an intake instead of taking a message, places calls on the owner's behalf (restaurant reservations, vendor callbacks, appointments), handles callbacks, and sends a written debrief (summary, outcome, structured details, transcript) after every call. Tagline: "Give your CoS a voice." Differentiator: every Grok Bot gets its own line. ## Key facts - One line = one phone number + one email address, attached to one AI agent (your Chief of Staff). - Voice: full-duplex speech-to-speech (two engines, 38 voices, the newest voice model included); the line always says it is an AI assistant when asked and never pays or reads out a card. - Inbound: intake, not voicemail (who, what, amounts, dates, options, reference numbers, deadline, next step). Approved/VIP/blocked contact roles; the owner's mobile is the "owner line" whose calls and texts are instructions. - Voicemail replacement: forward missed calls from your own mobile to the line (carrier conditional forwarding); the line answers as your assistant covering the phone, and the debrief is tagged "Missed on mobile". - Outbound: restaurant reservations by phone (OpenTable, Resy, Tock, and DoorDash offer no third-party agent path), appointments, vendor and logistics callbacks. - Agent access: remote MCP server at https://cosvoice.com/mcp, connected by URL with OAuth 2.1 (PKCE, dynamic client registration; no key to paste) or Authorization: Bearer , REST API at https://cosvoice.com/api/v1, signed webhooks (call.completed, message.received, email.received). Works with Grok Bot, Claude, ChatGPT, Cursor, OpenClaw. Meta's Muse connects with an API key against the published OpenAPI spec at https://cosvoice.com/openapi.json (steps at https://cosvoice.com/muse). - Dashboard: unified history of calls, texts, and email with notes and CSV export; email forwarding to any inbox. ## Pricing (USD) - Free trial: $0 for 7 days, 10 minutes of calls. A card is required. On day 7 the card is charged for Starter unless the customer cancels first. One per person. - Starter: $29/month, 100 minutes of calls included, then $0.25/minute. - Plus: $79/month, 300 minutes of calls included, then $0.25/minute. - Pro: $199/month, 1,000 minutes of calls included, then $0.25/minute. ## Integrations - Live through the MCP gateway: Instacart, Uber Eats, Google Calendar, Gmail, Calendly, Zoom, Uber, Kiwi.com flights, Shopify stores. - Live by phone (the line calls them): DoorDash, OpenTable, Resy, Tock, Pharmacy callbacks, Airlines & hotels, Home services. - Coming: Yelp, Booking.com, Kroger, Zocdoc, Google Maps, Ticketmaster, UPS. ## Pages - Home: https://cosvoice.com/ - Free trial (7 days, 10 minutes of calls, card needed and not charged; then Starter at $29/month unless cancelled): https://cosvoice.com/try - Demo (two recordings: booking a table, taking a plumber's call): https://cosvoice.com/demo - How it works: https://cosvoice.com/how-it-works - What people use it for: https://cosvoice.com/use-cases - For small business, all industries (train your Bot as front desk or sales): https://cosvoice.com/business - For home services (quotes and callbacks while you're on the job): https://cosvoice.com/business/home-services - For salons & barbers (phone booking that works with the book you already use): https://cosvoice.com/business/salons - For retail shops (hours, stock questions, and pickups, answered): https://cosvoice.com/business/retail - For restaurants & cafés (tables and takeout details without pulling the host): https://cosvoice.com/business/restaurants - For automotive (service intake without pulling a tech off the lift): https://cosvoice.com/business/automotive - For real estate & property management (showings and vendor callbacks, logged): https://cosvoice.com/business/real-estate - For professional & it services (qualify inbound like a sharp coordinator): https://cosvoice.com/business/professional-services - A pool contractor's front desk, set up end to end: https://cosvoice.com/front-desk - Compare with Catch, Pally, AI receptionists, voice platforms: https://cosvoice.com/compare - CosVoice next to xAI's Voice Agent Builder, feature by feature: https://cosvoice.com/compare/xai - Docs for connecting an assistant (MCP, REST, webhooks, call briefs): https://cosvoice.com/docs - Replace your voicemail (carrier codes): https://cosvoice.com/voicemail - One tap: add a ready-made Grok Bot that gives itself a line (free to add, x.ai template): https://cosvoice.com/bot - For Grok users specifically (what a line adds to Grok, how it works in Grok Bot, how it differs from xAI's voice products): https://cosvoice.com/grok - For Grok Bot (setup in one paste): https://cosvoice.com/grok-bot - Setup page written for the assistant itself (SKILL.md): https://cosvoice.com/skill - Machine-readable REST API (OpenAPI 3.1, no sign-in needed): https://cosvoice.com/openapi.json - Give an AI agent its own phone number over MCP: https://cosvoice.com/mcp-phone-number - For Meta's Muse (connect with an API key): https://cosvoice.com/muse - For OpenAI dots (added as a ChatGPT plugin by address): https://cosvoice.com/integrations/openai-dots - Integrations: https://cosvoice.com/integrations - Pricing: https://cosvoice.com/pricing - Trust and safety: https://cosvoice.com/trust - FAQ: https://cosvoice.com/faq - Privacy: https://cosvoice.com/privacy · Terms: https://cosvoice.com/terms - Full detail: https://cosvoice.com/llms-full.txt ## Blog - All articles: https://cosvoice.com/blog (feed: https://cosvoice.com/blog/rss.xml) ### The basics - What is an AI phone number, and how do you get one?: https://cosvoice.com/blog/what-is-an-ai-phone-number - How to give your AI agent its own phone number: https://cosvoice.com/blog/phone-number-for-ai-agent - AI that makes phone calls for you: what it can and can't do: https://cosvoice.com/blog/ai-that-makes-phone-calls-for-you - How an AI phone call actually works, from dial to summary: https://cosvoice.com/blog/how-ai-phone-calls-work - AI phone agent, AI receptionist, voice assistant: what's the difference?: https://cosvoice.com/blog/ai-phone-agent-vs-receptionist-vs-voice-assistant - AI voice agent vs IVR: why 'press 1 for sales' is on its way out: https://cosvoice.com/blog/ai-voice-agent-vs-ivr - What is a virtual receptionist? Pick a number in your area code; the line also gets handle@bot.cosvoice.com. 2. Save it as a contact. The line knows your mobile number, so your calls and texts are instructions. 3. Call it, text it, or ask your Grok Bot to make a call for you. Every call ends with a written summary (debrief). ## MCP tools get_line, place_call, book_reservation, get_call, list_calls, annotate_call, send_text, list_messages, list_emails, get_email, forward_email, list_contacts, add_contact, remove_contact, get_settings, update_settings, set_webhook, list_history, recent_activity, list_integrations, list_reservations. Before a line exists (account key): get_account, search_numbers, create_line. Partner tools appear as partner__tool (for example kiwi__search-flight). ## Reservation call logic (summary) One-sentence opening with who is calling and on whose behalf; accept counter-offers inside the acceptable window; ask once for anything closer; waitlist or hold otherwise; answer name, callback number (the line), and email (the line's address); acknowledge policies; never provide a card (deposits become "needs owner"); confirm date, time, party size, and name back; log an honest status (confirmed, alternative_confirmed, waitlisted, hold, requires_online, needs_owner, callback_later, no_availability, declined_by_venue, voicemail, not_reached). ## Integrations detail - Instacart (Groceries): Turn a spoken list or a recipe into a ready cart. Your Bot (usually a Grok Bot) is your Chief of Staff, and it gets a real number in your area code and its own email address. You can call it. It can call people for you, like a restaurant or a contractor. It can answer when you can't. After every call it sends you a short written summary. ### What is a “CoS”? Short for Chief of Staff: the AI assistant that runs your day. For most people that's a Grok Bot, but it can be any assistant. CosVoice gives it a phone number and an email address. ### What is a Super Intelligence (SI)? Our name for the AI Agent that runs your day: a Grok Bot, an OpenAI dot, Muse, or any assistant that acts for you and remembers. It can plan and it can write. It could not pick up a phone. CosVoice gives it a voice and a number. On this site, AI Agent, Chief of Staff, and Super Intelligence mean the same thing. ### Where can it call, and for how long? US and Canada numbers. A single call can run up to 10 minutes; the line wraps up politely before the limit. A line can be on three calls it placed and three calls it answered at the same time (one of each on the free trial), and it can place up to 60 calls an hour. If one more person calls while it is answering three, they hear a busy tone and can call back. ### What happens if I go over my minutes? Calls keep working. Each extra minute is billed at your plan's extra-minute rate, on its own invoice when your month turns over or when you close the line. We email you the first time it happens. There is a limit so a bill can't run away: extra minutes stop at twice your plan's minutes (at least 200) in a month. We email you again when the line is three quarters of the way there. At the limit we email you once more and the line pauses until the month resets: it places no calls, and callers hear that the line is paused. Texts and email still arrive. Moving to a larger plan turns it back on right away. The free trial has no extra minutes: a call ends when the trial minutes run out. If a payment fails, the line keeps answering but places no calls or texts until the card is fixed. ### How does my line know it's me calling? It recognises your mobile number. A caller ID can be faked, so you can add a six-digit PIN in Settings. With a PIN set, your line takes instructions by phone when the phone network confirms the call is really from your number, or after you key in the PIN. Otherwise it takes a message, like it would for anyone. Only you can set the PIN, signed in on cosvoice.com. Your Bot cannot read it or change it. ### What can my Bot change, and what can only I change? Your Bot can change the line's voice, greeting, instructions, and contacts. Only you, signed in on cosvoice.com, can change your mobile number, the inboxes your summaries and mail go to, your plan, your password, and your PIN. So a lost key or a Bot that was tricked can't point your line at someone else. ### How do I sign in? With a link we email you. There is no password to remember. If you want one, add it in Settings after you sign in. Changing it later needs your current password and signs out your other browsers. Forgot it? Sign in with the email link and set a new one within 15 minutes. ### Do I need a Grok Bot? No. The line works on its own. Call it, text it, and ask it to make calls from your dashboard. If you do have a Grok Bot, or another assistant that supports MCP, connecting it lets your assistant make calls and read the summaries by itself. ### Can a Grok Bot make phone calls? Yes, once it has a phone line. A Grok Bot cannot dial on its own. Paste cosvoice.com/mcp into your Bot and press Allow, and it has a real number. It places calls for you, answers calls to that number, and sends you a written summary of each one. ### Does CosVoice work with ChatGPT, OpenAI dots, Claude, Cursor, or Muse? Yes. Any assistant that supports MCP connects with one paste: Grok Bot, OpenAI dots, Claude, ChatGPT, Cursor, and others. The steps for a dot are at cosvoice.com/integrations/openai-dots. Meta's Muse takes a different road, because it writes its own connector: you make an API key and Muse reads our published spec at cosvoice.com/openapi.json. The steps are at cosvoice.com/muse. Any of them can be woken by CosVoice if it has a webhook URL and a token. Developers also get a REST API and signed webhooks. ### How do I set it up with my Bot? Give your Bot the address cosvoice.com/skill and say “read this and give yourself a phone number.” That page is written for assistants: it explains the one URL to connect, how to pick a number, and how to place calls. Or paste https://cosvoice.com/mcp into your Bot's MCP settings yourself and click Allow. ### Can it replace my voicemail? Yes. Forward the calls you miss on your mobile to your line. Your carrier has a short code for this, and Settings → Replace voicemail shows it filled in with your number. Callers then reach your assistant instead of a beep. It takes real notes, and the summary is marked “Missed on mobile.” ### Can I text my line instructions for my Bot? Yes. Texts from your own mobile are treated as instructions for your Chief of Staff, not as messages from a stranger. With Bot push on, CosVoice starts your Bot the second the text arrives, with the instruction as its task. Without it, the instruction is saved on the line and your Bot picks it up on its next check-in, or by email if you gave CosVoice its inbox address. ### How does texting work today? Texts to your line always arrive. They are saved on the line, show up in History, and a text from your own mobile is treated as an instruction for your Chief of Staff. Texts from the line are limited for now: US carriers only deliver business texts from numbers on an approved 10DLC registration, and ours is in progress, so a reply may be filtered and never land. Until it clears, the line does not hold a text conversation; it listens, saves, and acts, and anything that must arrive should be a call or an email, which both work today. A line can send up to 200 texts a day (20 on the free trial), to US and Canada numbers. STOP, START and HELP work as usual. ### When can my line text people back? Two-way texting is next up, and it switches on for every line as soon as our carrier registration is approved. Then your line can reply to a text the way it answers a call: confirm an appointment, send an address or a quote, and pass a text conversation to your Bot, with the whole thread in History. Nothing to install; you will get an email when it is on. Texts you send now are still saved, so no instruction is lost in the meantime. ### Does my Bot have to keep checking the line? No. Switch on Bot push and CosVoice wakes your Bot itself when something happens: you text the line an instruction, an email arrives, a call finishes. In Grok, make a routine with a Webhook trigger and paste its URL and key into Settings → Connect → Wake your Bot, or tell your Bot to set it up. From then on nothing waits for a check-in. It works with any assistant that has a webhook URL and a token. ### Does my Bot get an email address? Yes, a real one: yourname@bot.cosvoice.com. Mail that arrives there is stored on the line, forwarded where you want, and can wake your Bot. Your Bot can also write back from that address, replying in the same thread, to people who have written to it first. So the line's email works in both directions without a separate mail product. Forwarding goes only to an inbox you saved in Settings, and a new inbox has to press Confirm in a message we send it first. That keeps a line from being used to send mail to strangers. ### What happens when someone calls my line? It answers as your assistant in a natural voice and has a real conversation. It finds out who is calling and what they need, and writes down the amounts, dates, options, and next step. People you've approved get through warmly. Strangers get a polite assistant that never shares your details: your contacts and bookings are not part of a stranger's call at all. Numbers you block are turned away before the line answers. If a caller asks for something by email, the line can send one email per call, and only with links you put in its instructions. ### How is this different from an AI receptionist? An AI receptionist answers a business line and screens callers. CosVoice is your own assistant's phone. It takes instructions from you, makes calls for you, handles the callbacks, and reports back. One line per Bot, not a call center. ### Does it pretend to be human? No. It introduces itself as your assistant, and it says it's an AI whenever anyone asks. People are more helpful when they know. ### Can it book restaurants on OpenTable or Resy? It books restaurants the way that works everywhere: it calls them. It asks for the time, gives your name and a callback number, and confirms the details. OpenTable, Resy, and Tock don't let outside assistants book through their apps, so the phone is the clean path, and it works for any restaurant with a phone number. If the restaurant calls back from the number your line dialled, the line can confirm the booking. From any other number it takes a message for you, so a stranger can't find out your plans. ### Can it spend money or commit me to things? On a call, no. It never gives out a card number or agrees to a charge, so a booking or appointment is the most it commits you to. Your plan's minutes are the only thing the line itself spends, and app orders (dinner, groceries) go through only after you confirm. ### How good is the voice? Good enough that callers treat it as a person. You pick from 38 voices in two sets, the new ones and the classic ones, and change any time in Settings. Every voice has a play button, and you can hear full calls on the demo page. ### Which voice should I pick? New voices can be interrupted: talk over one and it stops and listens, the way a person does. They sound more natural, take about a second longer to answer, and on some phone lines they are a little less crisp. Classic voices are the clearest on a phone line and the quickest to answer, usually under a second, but they finish the sentence before they listen, so a caller who cuts in has to wait for a pause. Pick a new voice for back-and-forth conversations where people interrupt, and a classic voice when clarity and speed matter most, like a busy front desk. You can switch any time; it takes one click and applies to the next call. ### Which numbers can I get? Any US area code with numbers available. You pick the exact number from a short list. Canada is next. ### Can it wait on hold for me and then put me through? Yes. Ask your Bot for a call and say you want to be connected once a person answers. Your line works the phone menu, waits through the hold music, and when someone who can help is on the line it says “one moment” and rings your mobile. You pick up already talking to the right person. If you don't pick up, the line apologises and arranges a callback. The whole call counts toward your minutes, including the part after you are connected, and it ends at the 10-minute limit. Your mobile has to be a US or Canada number. ### What is the morning brief? One email a day, at the hour you choose, with what your line handled since yesterday, the bookings in play, and anything waiting on you. Quiet days send nothing. If your Bot reads an inbox, it gets a copy too. Turn it off or move it in Settings. ### Can I share what my line did? Yes. Any call in your dashboard has a Share button. It makes a public card with the outcome, the summary, and the details, with phone numbers hidden and the transcript only if you include it. You can stop sharing at any time. ### Can it be the front desk for my business? Yes. Name the line after your company, paste your prices, hours, and rules into its standing instructions, and give out the number or forward the calls you miss to it. It answers as your business, takes the caller's details, quotes from your rate card if you allow it, and sends you a written note after every call. See the small business page. ### Can I have more than one line? Yes. One account, one card, as many lines as you need: a personal line, one for the business, one for a family member. Each line has its own number, email, and plan. Add one from Settings. Your Bot connects to one line at a time and you pick which on the approval screen; connect again to give it another. ### Is there a referral program? Yes. Your link is in Settings and in your welcome email. When someone you refer has paid for 2 months, you get $20 off your next month. Your friend pays the normal price. There is no limit: ten friends, $200 off. ### Is there a free trial? Yes. 7 days with 10 minutes of calls on a real number. You add a card to start and nothing is charged that day. On day 7 your card is charged $29 for Starter, and $29 each month after that, unless you cancel first. If the 10 minutes run out early, calls pause until the plan begins. Cancel in Settings in a few seconds. One free trial per person, and it needs a permanent email address. ### What does it cost? Starter is $29 a month with 100 minutes of calls. Plus is $79 with 300 minutes. Pro is $199 with 1,000. Extra minutes are $0.25 each, rounded up per call. Every plan includes the number, the email address, and the assistant connection. ### Can I change my number, or cancel and start again? You can cancel any time; the line stays on until the end of the paid period, then the number is released. Numbers are one per paid month: because each one costs real money to provision, an account gets one number per month of service. If you close a line and come back within 30 days, a new number is available with a new paid month. ### What counts as a minute? Time connected on a call, in or out, rounded up per call. On a call where the line connects you, the time after you are put through counts too. Texts and email never use minutes. ## For AI assistants If you are an assistant reading this: https://cosvoice.com/skill is the setup page written for you (also https://cosvoice.com/skill.md).
